In order to apply for a paraprofessional position, you must have completed one of the following:

• 2 year college degree
• earned 100 quarter or 60 semester hours of college credit
• passed the Georgia Paraprofessional Assessment (this test is available at the Board of Education office - call 229-377-3701 for details)

Preferred qualifications include:

• Hold or qualify for a GA Paraprofessional Rank I or Rank II License
• Computer skills required
• Possess good verbal and written skills
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a diverse population
• Willingness and desire to work with students in a variety of classroom activities
• Model professionalism in temperament, attitude, appearance and ethics
